About this course

Course Title: Effective Communication: Key Coaching Skills for Leaders

In recent decades sweeping reengineering, digitization, and agile initiatives—and lately the move to remote work—have dramatically transformed the job of managers…Managers now have to think about making their teams successful, rather than being served by them; coach performance, not oversee tasks; and lead in rapidly changing, more-fluid environments.

Harvard Business Review, March 2022

“The role of the manager, in short, is becoming that of a coach.”

Companies and organisations are working to develop and progress their teams in this very challenging and ever-changing world. Leadership capacity, the ability to be able to use ‘Coaching Language and to hold Coaching Conversations’ are increasingly in demand.

Effective Communication: Key Coaching Skills for Leaders is a 2 day programme designed to equip managers or team leaders with key competencies to enable them to hold effective ‘coaching conversations’, resulting in more effective management, decision making and team development.

Training Approach and Method

The workshop is participatory, interactive and enjoyable, with deep learning opportunities and space for skills practice. Theory and Learning will be integrated into practice with feedback as you develop your skills over two days. Coaching demonstrations on real life scenarios will also be given as examples of how ‘coaching conversations’ can result in effective change in your organisation or company.

This programme can be delivered in-person (now that this is possible) or virtually using Zoom.

Course Presenters Niall and Kathleen were jointly awarded Career Coach of the Year Award from the Irish Chapter of the International Coach Federation of which they are members.
