About this course

Instructor led virtual training will introduce the Programmable Logic controller as a tool for troubleshooting and making troubleshooting easier by having an improved knowledge about how the PLC works in your plant. Trainer is present 100% of the time.

Training Approach and Method

The course follows a simple pattern of introducing a topics theory which is backed up with a practical example in each case. Participants are asked to participate by doing exercises and interacting in a progressive manner to aid understanding for both themselves and the group. In this everyone benefits. The course is instructor led which requires each student to participate in each topic as it relates to their work. The course follows PowerPoint slides which give the basis for discussion and exercises. Also as the course develops there may be added notes given or pointers to internet support for subject matter.

Course Objectives

It is expected that after one week of training that a candidate will be able to use the Simatic manager to aid in understanding faults that happen in the plant. it is envisaged that the structure of the Simatic manager and its sub utilities/editors will link together in a holistic approach to using the package in a meaningful, reactive and proactive manner to help in maintenance and keeping downtime to a minimum. In other words, the layout of the Siemens Simatic manager software will make sense to a participant.
